about me
I moved out to Missouri almost seven years ago from California fallowing a dream of a better life. In hopes of a life without gang fights and drug deals in my front yard as my two small children played. Shortly after moving, I got a job working in a lock down Alzheimer's unit. I was content for six and a half years. Then a fire started to stir within me and a sudden realization. I had been a CNA for 12 years. I asked myself, how could I possibly teach my children the importance of college if I don't even have a degree myself. So I enrolled at MSSU with the major of Radiology. I also changed jobs and started working at Missouri Rehabilitation Center. Sure, I miss the Alzheimer's unit. But I do love my new job a lot more.
